Advertising

No advertising is currently shown on this deployment. No advertising script is loaded and no advertising cookie is set. The slots exist in the code but render nothing.

A calculator is a tool people use while making a decision. Advertising that interferes with that is not a trade-off worth making, so the constraints below are enforced in the code rather than left to judgement:

• Never between the question and the answer. The available ad placements are above the content, below the result, in the sidebar, and at the foot of the page. There is deliberately no placement that can appear between the input form and the result panel.
• Never disguised as an interface element. Adverts are labelled “Advertisement”, and are never styled to resemble a calculate button, a navigation item or a download link.
• Space is reserved before loading. Every slot declares a fixed minimum height, so an advert arriving cannot push the page around while you are reading it.
• No interstitials, pop-ups or auto-playing video. Nothing covers the page, hijacks the back button, or plays sound.
• Failure is contained. Advertising is architecturally isolated from the calculation code. If the ad provider is slow, blocked or broken, every calculator continues to work exactly as before.
• Your inputs are never shared. Calculator values never leave your browser, so there is nothing to pass to an advertiser even in principle.

Running a site like this costs money, and the alternatives are worse. A subscription wall would put a percentage calculator behind a payment. Selling data would betray the privacy model the whole site is built on. Advertising, kept out of the way, funds the work without either.

If you use an ad blocker, everything on this site works normally. You will not be asked to disable it, and no content is withheld.

For direct placement or sponsorship enquiries, use the contact page. We do not accept adverts for financial products that would appear alongside a calculator for that same product, because the conflict of interest is obvious and the trust cost is not worth the revenue.
